Semester accommodation is perfect for students starting or returning to university to study in London for Semester 1 (from September till January) or Semester 2 (starting in January and finishing in June). You’ll get all the benefits of living at Scape, fully furnished rooms, bills included, and access to our shared study spaces, gyms, and social areas. With the benefit of a shorter, more flexible contract that fits your academic year and studies. Whether you’re here for one semester or just finishing your course, you’ll feel right at home in our modern London locations.
When can I move in for my Semester stay?
Semester one starts in mid September, and you can move in from then. Semester two move-ins usually begin in early January.
At Scape, you can choose a move-in and move-out date that works for you when you book, giving you flexibility around your travel and university schedule. If you’re arriving in London for the first time, our team can also assist with arrival information, settling in, and what to expect on your first day at Scape.
Can I extend my stay after my Semester?
Yes, if you decide to continue your studies in London, you can easily extend your stay, subject to availability.
Many students choose to stay with us through the year and even during summer or rebook their room for the next academic year - and re-bookers often get special rates. You can chat with our team anytime to discuss options with no complicated forms or hidden fees.

Are there any bills that I have to pay?
Worried about soaring energy bills and cost of living? Unlike traditional student housing, you do not have to worry about rising energy prices and the risk of going over your budget with Scape as all utility bills are included in your rent. This includes Wi-Fi, water, heating and electricity.
Unlike other student halls, we also host regular events that are often free to you. These events range from grab and go breakfast, to social mixers and summer parties.
We have laundry facilities onsite; this is run by circuit and there is a small payment needed per load.
What’s included in the rent?
No need to worry about finding your own energy and Wi-Fi suppliers. Everything’s already set up and ready, so you can get settled in straight away. Your room will have all the furniture and fittings. Your rent at Scape covers all utilities and bills, superfast Wi-Fi, gym membership and access to world-class amenities. This amount is fixed, so there are no surprise costs in your lease.
How do I choose the right room type?
It depends on how you like to live and study, but we have a variety of room types to choose from. Have a studio all to yourself or stay with your friends in a shared apartment. Whatever you choose, you’ll have your own comfy bed, study desk, high-speed Wi-Fi, and plenty of space for all your stuff. Get in touch with the team who can help your search for the right room for the right price - the team are also on hand to help you throughout the applications.
En suite room- Your own private bedroom, bathroom, with a shared kitchen and living room. Our en suite rooms are a great option if you’re new to the city or away from home for the first time.
Studios- Fancy your own place? Book a studio and get a room all to yourself, complete with a built-in kitchenette. Ideal for students who value their independence but still want to be down the hall from their friends
Twin rooms- Get the full uni experience by staying with a roommate. You’ll get a comfy bunk to crash in, plus a spacious desk area underneath.
Accessible rooms- Spacious, wheelchair-friendly rooms with extra floor space and bigger bathrooms. These rooms are designed for accessibility and availability to everyone.
Are international students able to book Semester accommodation?
Absolutely. London is home to students from all over the world. We host regular events to help students settle in and make friends, not everyone who lives with us is from the UK. How do I book Semester accommodation?
It’s quick and easy, you choose a room using our Find a Room feature. Follow the journey and choose your location, room and floor. Everything is done online, it’s super quick and easy.

All our London Scape buildings are centrally connected, with most in Zone 2, meaning you’re a short tube ride or walk from your university. Whether you’re heading to lectures, exploring London’s cafés, or catching up with friends, you’ll always be close to the action. The best of East London is just a few minutes away from E1. Shoreditch, Brick Lane, Hoxton and Spitalfields are a short bus ride away. All the areas are famous for their cafes, galleries, fashion, restaurants and nightlife. There's something to suite everyone.
The best of West London is just a few minutes away from Scape Hammersmith. Notting Hill, Shepherds Bush, Fulham, South Ken and Knightsbridge are all a short journey away. The areas are famous for high end fashion, food and art.
